The Civil Service Commission (CSC) reminds all human resource management offices that they have until March 31, 2017 to submit nominations for the 2017 Search for Outstanding Government Workers at CSC Regional Offices.
The CSC conducts the annual Search to recognize public service exemplars in the bureaucracy. It covers all elective and appointive officials and employees holding permanent, temporary, coterminous, contractual, and casual status of employment in the government, whether stationed in the Philippines or abroad. Appointive barangay officials and employees may also be nominated upon meeting certain conditions.
“We hope to share stories of competence, determination, self-sacrifice, and integrity in government as a testament to the fact that many public servants go the extra mile without fanfare or expectation of reward,” CSC Chairperson Alicia dela Rosa-Bala said.
The Search has three (3) award categories: the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award and the CSC Pagasa Award for outstanding work performance, and the Outstanding Public Officials and Employees or the Dangal ng Bayan Award for exemplary conduct or ethical behavior.
