The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has released the list of testing centers and reminders relative to the conduct of the Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) scheduled nationwide on 11 August 2024.
CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles urged the 358,651 candidates who will be taking either the Professional or Subprofessional Level exams to review Examination Advisory No. 11, s. 2024, and access their designated school via the Online Notice of School Assignment (ONSA) available on the CSC website.
“The CSC, along with dedicated teachers and volunteer government employees, is all set to administer the CSE across 95 testing centers in 16 regions nationwide. All exam takers aiming for civil service eligibility are encouraged to familiarize themselves with their assigned testing venue and pay attention to all provided reminders. This will help maximize their chances of success and ensure the exam is conducted smoothly,” said Chairperson Nograles.

Senior Office Equipment Technicians interested in applying for government positions may take advantage of the special eligibility provided by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
Under CSC Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 8 dated 7 September 2023, the Senior Office Equipment Technician A and Senior Office Equipment Technician B positions are now included in the list of positions for Equipment Technician eligibility under Category II of CSC MC No. 10, s. 2013.
“The special eligibility for Senior Office Equipment Technicians A and B represents a significant advancement in acknowledging the expertise of our building and office maintenance personnel in the public sector. Qualified individuals will no longer be required to take the Career Service Examination to gain eligibility and apply for plantilla positions,” said CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) urged barangay health workers (BHWs) to apply for career service eligibility that can be used in applying for permanent positions in the government.
CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles said that in accordance with Republic Act (RA) No. 7883, or the Barangay Health Workers’ Benefits and Incentives Act of 1995, the CSC promulgated Resolution No. 992845 which grants civil service eligibility to BHWs in recognition of their voluntary service to the community.
“Our BHWs, although volunteers, are vital frontliners in our mission to provide accessible and reliable primary healthcare services at the local level. The Barangay Health Worker Eligibility (BHWE) serves as a token of appreciation, recognizing not only their invaluable role as special partners in promoting a healthier nation but also their dedication to public service,” said Chairperson Nograles.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) kicked off the celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) slated for September with a press conference today, 1 August 2024, at the Philippine Information Agency in Visayas Avenue, Quezon City.
The CSC is spearheading the 124th PCSA pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1050, series of 1997, which was signed by the late President Fidel V. Ramos, declaring the month of September as Civil Service Month. This is also in observance of the establishment of the Philippine Civil Service by virtue of Public Law No. 5 (An Act for the Establishment and Maintenance of an Efficient and Honest Civil Service in the Philippine Islands), enacted on 19 September 1900.
CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles, alongside CSC Commissioners Aileen Lourdes A. Lizada and Ryan Alvin R. Acosta, led the 124th PCSA conference. During the event, they informed the public and media representatives about the activities planned for the month-long celebration for the entire government workforce.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has unveiled the list of the 26 semi-finalists for the prestigious 2024 Search for Outstanding Government Workers.
Following this, the CSC is inviting the public to participate in the evaluation process by providing feedback on the national nominees. The public is encouraged to submit their comments, whether positive or negative, for the Presidential Lingkod Bayan and CSC Pagasa Awards until 26 July 2024.
“We invite you to take part in this year’s Search for Outstanding Government Workers by sharing your comments and reactions on the semi-finalists. Your feedback is crucial in helping us recognize the most deserving candidates who exemplify excellence in public service,” said CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.
