The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced the testing centers, school assignments, and important reminders for the Career Service Examination for Foreign Service Officer (CSE-FSO) scheduled on 26 January 2025.

Examinee Advisory

A total of 489 examinees across 12 regional testing centers should review Examination Advisory No. 1, s. 2025, and access their school assignments through the Online Notice of School Assignment (ONSA) on the CSC website.

Important Reminders

  • Visit your testing venue at least a day before the exam to familiarize yourself with the location and travel time.
  • Arrive at the venue by 6:30 a.m. Gates close promptly at 7:45 a.m. Latecomers will not be admitted.
  • Bring a valid ID, preferably the one used during application.
  • Use only black ball pens for answering. Other pens and colored inks are prohibited.
  • Calculators, electronic devices, and any exam aid are not allowed.
  • Test materials cannot be removed from the venue.
  • Taking photos or videos of exam materials, venues, or scratch work on prohibited surfaces is strictly forbidden.

Examinees are encouraged to use transparent bags for their belongings and wear appropriate attire (preferably white tops). Sleeveless shirts, shorts, and slippers are not allowed.

About the CSE-FSO

The CSE-FSO, conducted in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), serves as the first stage of the four-part Foreign Service Officer exam. Candidates must pass the Qualifying Test with at least 80% to proceed to the next stages, which include the Preliminary Interview, Written Test, Psychological Test, and Oral Test, administered by the DFA.
