In his year-end message to government officials and employees, Civil Service Commission (CSC) Chairperson Karlo Nograles expressed appreciation for the dedication and heroism of civil servants who continue to serve with passion and integrity even in the face of adversity.
He noted how government workers from different fields weathered every crisis with the resilient and enduring spirit that defines Filipinos.
“Mula sa mga healthcare workers na nagtatrabaho nang walang kapaguran upang magligtas ng mga buhay, sa mga guro na nagmumulat ng kaisipan ng mga kabataan, sa mga inhinyero na nagtatayo ng mga tulay na nagdadala sa atin nang mas malapit sa isa't isa, at sa mga social workers na nagbibigay gabay sa mga komunidad—each one of them embodies what it truly means to be a lingkod bayani,” said Chairperson Nograles.
"Amidst the disruptions brought by social, political, and environmental issues, civil servants serve as the anchors of stability, the engines of progress, and the symbol of continuity in a world of many uncertainties,” he added.
Chairperson Nograles additionally encouraged the 1.9 million civil servants across the nation to embrace the Christmas spirit and welcome the approaching New Year not only through festive gatherings but also by fulfilling the moral obligation of uplifting the lives of the less fortunate.
He remains optimistic that public sector employees will continue working with excellence, integrity, and love for country to build a legacy of good governance for generations to come.
“In this season of giving, let our greatest gift be the unwavering strength of our community, shining its light brightly for all to see. As we turn the page to a new year, let us embrace the promise of renewal. Let us commit to building a Philippines where compassion reigns, where every Filipino thrives, and where the light of public service shines ever brighter,” he added.
“Sa ngalan ng Komisyon sa Serbiyo Sibil, hiling ko para sa inyong lahat ang kaligayahan at kasaganahan ngayong Pasko at sa darating na bagong taon. Mabuhay po kayo!”
