Government officials and employees from various agencies in Region II gathered on 4 September 2024 at the Archdiocesan Shrine and Parish of The Divine Mercy in Tuguegarao City for a special Thanksgiving Mass titled “Pamisa Alay ng mga Kawani para sa Matatag na Pamahalaan,” in celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.

The Mass, presided over by Parish Priest Fr. Pio Rino L. Guaring, served as a tribute to the enduring spirit and dedication of the civil servants in the region. The event was a key highlight of the week-long celebration, dubbed as Linggo ng Lingkod Bayani, which honors the significant contributions of government workers to public service and nation-building.

The event was attended by various officials, including the management of Civil Service Regional Office No. II (CSC RO II) led by Atty. Marites P. Lappay. The presence of these leaders highlighted the unity and solidarity within the government sector.

After the mass, attendees joined CSC RO II officials and employees in a simple agape or fellowship meal to bond together over a cup of hot chocolate or coffee and pastries.

The celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary continues with various activities and programs aimed at recognizing the contributions of civil servants and reinforcing their commitment to excellence. #
