The Civil Service Commission (CSC) will administer the Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for both Professional and Sub-professional levels on March 18, 2018. 

Examinees are advised to check their school assignment through the Online Notice of School Assignment (ONSA) from the CSC website. Those who are unable to access the ONSA may call the CSC Regional or Field Office where they filed their application or contact the CSC’s Contact Center ng Bayan. The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is urging heads of agencies to recognize their outstanding employees by nominating them to the 2018 Search for Outstanding Government Workers. Submission of nomination is until March 30, 2018. 

“The Search is an annual nationwide undertaking of the CSC to recognize government officials and employees who have displayed outstanding work performance. We believe that there are many government workers who have exemplary contributions and whose works deserve to be recognized,” said CSC Chairperson Alicia dela Rosa-Bala. 

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) yesterday announced that it is now accepting applications for the 2018 Fire Office Examination (FOE) and Penology Office Examination (POE) which will be both conducted on June 17, 2018. Deadline for submission of applications is on April 27, 2018.

The CSC emphasized that apart from the standard qualification requirements, FOE applicants must be 21 to 35 years old at the date of filing while POE applicants must be at least 18 years old at the date of filing.

Individuals who wish to comply with the educational requirement for appointment to Division Chief or executive/managerial positions in government without obtaining a Master’s degree may apply for the Leadership and Management Certification Program-Recognition of Prior Learning (CPro-RPL) Track.

In CPro-RPL, candidates are expected to manifest the targeted five leadership competencies through previous real-life work experiences. These competencies are Thinking Strategically and Creatively, Leading Change, Building Collaborative, Inclusive Working Relationships, Managing Performance and Coaching for Results, and Creating and Nurturing High Performing Organization.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) reminds all public officials and employees to file their sworn Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Networth (SALN) for 2017 by April 30, 2018.

The annual filing of SALN is required under the 1987 Philippine Constitution and under Republic Act No. 6713, also known as the “Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.”

The SALN should contain the true, detailed, and sworn declaration of one’s assets, liabilities, networth, business interests and financial connections, as well as relatives in government service within the fourth degree of consanguinity or affinity as of the end of the preceding year.
