Sexual harassment offenders in government include those who commit sexual harassment acts through text messaging or email, online, or in streets and public places, this according to the amended rules on sexual harassment recently promulgated by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

CSC Resolution No. 2100064 amends certain provisions in the 2017 Rules on Administrative Cases in the Civil Service (RACCS), specifically those pertaining to the administrative proceedings for sexual harassment complaints where the offender is a government employee. The changes in the 2017 RACCS were primarily made to further deter sexual harassment in the public sector as well as to harmonize said rules with Republic Act No. 11313 or the Safe Spaces Act and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

Registered examinees of the 15 March 2020 Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, may claim the refund of their PHP500 application fee starting this May.

This was announced by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) in Examination Advisory No. 1, s. 2021 dated 30 April 2021, as amended, as it advised examinees that they may opt to claim the refund in person, through bank deposit, or through the services of authorized remittance centers or payment facilities.

Government officials and employees have until 30 May 2021 to file their 2020 Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN). 

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) issued Resolution No. 2100339 containing guidelines for the filing and submission of 2020 SALNs during exceptional circumstances, or when the country is placed under a state of calamity and/or emergency. 

Public sector executives, managers, directors, division chiefs, and those in equivalent positions in the government service are invited to participate in a learning and networking event focused on digital leadership.

The Civil Service Commission, through the Civil Service Institute (CSI), will hold the 1st Semester CSI Leadership Series on 25 June 2021, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., via Zoom Webinar. The series’ first digital run, with the theme “Digital Leadership: Nurturing a Tech-Savvy Culture”, will focus on how leaders can maximize all the digital assets and resources available to them, to capacitate their people to optimize productivity and efficiency, and to establish and nurture a tech-savvy culture towards strengthening organizational performance.

In line with the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) which was approved by the President extending the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) of the National Capital Region (NCR) and its surrounding provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal (also known as NCR Plus) from 1-14 May 2021, and the City of Santiago, Quirino and Abra from 1-31 May 2021, CSC Central Office, CSC National Capital Region, Regional Office IV Headquarters and Field Offices in Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal shall continue to observe the work from home arrangement (WFH) until 14 May 2021. CSC Field Offices in Quirino and Abra shall also continue to adopt the WFH until 31 May 2021.
