The Civil Service Commission Regional Office VIII joined the nationwide conduct of the Career Service Examination Paper and Pen Test on August 20, 2023 with an unprecedented 16,483 number of examinees for the whole region or 92.92%, the total number of applicants for the said examinations.

Based on the records of the Examination Services Division, there were 15,421 examinees for the Professional Level while 1,062 took the Subprofessional Level. This marked a milestone being the highest number of examinees ever recorded in the Region VIII.

The CSC RO VIII is one of the sixteen (16) regional offices which regularly conducts civil service examination such as the CSE-PPT, as part of its mandates. Test centers in the Region VIII were: Tacloban City, Borongan, Eastern Samar, Catarman, Northern Samar, Catbalogan City, Samar, Maasin City, Southern Leyte, and Ormoc City.

Eligibilities obtained from passing the examinations provides an opportunity for government employment as it is a requirement for appointment to first and second level positions in the career service.

The CSC RO VIII expresses its gratitude to its partners who actively participated, and is equally grateful that the August 20, 2023 CSE-PPT examinations were conducted peacefully and successfully amidst the highly increased number of examinees.

The target released date of CSE results is 60 days after the conduct of the exam. However, the result may come out on or before the target date without prior notice. List of passers will be posted on the official website of the Civil Service Commission.
